I wish people would stop talking about this Dwyer case we dont know all the facts. It was a bad ride but remember if there is intelligence before the race that the horse will not be winning and the jockey is part of it then the stewards are entitled to ban him.Everything surrounds the intelligence before the race.I watched him closely on morning line and he did not want to talk about things before the race.People need to remember this is not UK where jockeys get away with murder and difficult to ban them unless you see them drop there hands. Most jockeys that are banned without dropping there hands are because intelligence indicates that horse was not going to win   and those jockeys eventually get banned.Look what happened to E Ahern. I have nothing against Dwyer i have backed him several times. This is my opinion.

He has dragged that horse into the one's on the inside twice, he stopped that al right,
they must have other betting info, to increase the ban, he is one of
the dodgiest jocks on the circuit today, if they don't get him on thisSad

To me he sounded very evasive and a little nervous when Cunningham asked if there was any other evidence that could come to light?.

It was a bad ride ......

if you think that after watching a video of this race, can only assume you are fishing or your Horse Racing P&L doesn't look so good?

It didn't look like it hung itself, it looked like he was dragging the head off it, to the right
as it was really finishing, and would of won if he kept it straight. I realise i'm in huge minority
here.Shocked This stinks to hell.

Dwyer rides in a country where disqualification has been virtually done away with, and as a result it is no longer a prerequisite (save they may get a short 'holiday') for jockeys to try and do everything possible to keep their mounts straight, and the standard of jockeyship has suffered as a result.

Imo this was evident in India where the head-on clearly demonstrates Dwyer yanking on the right rein, causing his mount to veer to its right and cause interference particularly to the horse in the headgear.

Imo the ride was 'careless' and nothing more. Upon hearing the screams of jockeys on the inner who were in danger of being put through the rail, Dwyer then had to yank the horse in the opposite direction.

If the Indian interference rules are strict and the threat of a DQ is a real one, then perhaps they're not used to seeing such shoddy jockeyship (imo) and were suspicious of what Dwyer was up to, whereas in this country we know tightening your rivals up on the inner is now just about a legitimate tactic and carries virtually no threat of a DQ.

you are going 40mph on horseback .... and you want to deliberately cause your horse to veer so sharply that she is going to take out 2 or 3 others, cause a mass pile up, continue hanging violently, crash through the rails causing life-threatening injuries to horses and riders and possibly specatators?

If Dwyer hadn't stopped riding and yanked his filly off the others, that's what we would have been talking out.... imho

At no point did I say he had done it deliberately, because that would be 'DANGEROUS' not careless. HTH.

George, so you are now saying Dwyer didn't "deliberately" yank on his right rein? It was merely accidental?

He was trying to get forward momentum, but in doing so he didn't do enough to keep his mount straight (imo) and caused the interference which resulted in him having to pull his mount off the others.

So what did the head-on show iyo, considering how he was operating the right rein?

Don't look at the horses, look at what Dwyer is doing with the reins.

My point is whereas in France and the US, jockeys know the threat of a DQ is a real one, and presumably do what they can to keep their mounts straight, I bet you wouldn't see that happen under a French or US jockey.

I thought the horse was doing it's own thing and no amount if effort from Dwyer was going to work.Thought it then, still think it now. The horse looked like a real bastard.

I am saying the horse looked like a swine. I backed one of Ryan Moore's mounts a few weeks ago at headquarters that looked like hacking up, and didn't. All jockeys are capable of cockups, some more than others. In this case I am convinced the horse was boss. You can lead a horse to water.......

yes well my view is he did nothing wrong other then being too weak to get that horse under control. i believe most top jockeys would have won that race and thats taking into account what a difficult ride it was.
