yes

did look at this but on balance decided the long lay off was sufficiently negative to make him an unlikely winner

but he does have form in the book that gives a theoretical chance

just don't think he's been prepared properly for this particular race

i cant see them running the horse if its not right not a lot of point going to the expense of getting it to the race although i guess 14k for 6th would make it worthwhile  but im sticking with him judorick as i say i should leave this flat racing lark alone  cheers for your view

that's not what I meant, I'm sure there's nothing wrong with the horse but everyone of the last 15 runners had had a run within 50 days and that is not the kind of stat I ignore

Would like to back this French favourite class act on his day if he turns up he wins but those crafty bookies seam to be over generous with the price and that's set alam bells ringing so going to have a small each way on hillstar g/l with your selections Happy

starkeycars i was just saying the same thing to a punting pal of mine the horse is so far clear on ratings shouldnt be odds against imo  so what does the crafty enemy know ???

Good to firm ground is not ideal for the favourite.

Itsallinthebook those bookies seam to know something we don't there trying to temp us to have a go as I say it may well bolt up but not for me very rarely they make a mistake

will be a strong pace with universal and ektihaam taking on each other might help red cadeaux to stay on into a place hopefully 1st Laugh

I have backed Red Cadeaux at 40/1, looks a very poor race.

starkeycars i completely agree and i gotta say i was tempted to have a good bet on it but i kept asking myself why its such a big price and decided to try to eek out some e/w value

Fancy Universal to spring a surprise in this, gutsy horse who has the ability to quicken.

all my attention on Goodwood now, Tawhid in the Lennox looks outstanding - race suits 3yos, trying to give penalty was a massive effort

Neither red cad or universal have the ability to win this. Just look at the form.

solving the puzzle the form line through thommas chippingdale surely ektihaam should finish 6 lenghs in front of universal on the book anyway ??  not knocking your choice in any way and of course the latter did have a nasty tumble last time and it may of left its mark

I'm not too sure the Hardwicke stakes form can be taken literally but could be very wrong. If so I will be the first to hold my hands up. I have Universal at 80-1 so I guess I'm slightly biased! GL

That is a fair comment Judorick he may well not be up to G1 standard but his sire won 3 G1's & he seems genuine enough to me. I'm always looking for value that way they don't all have to win. Off to put the rum on ice GL all.

ektihaam in with a decent shout here as long as he doesnt set too fast a pace.
universal wont bother him.

hope he doesnt slip round the bend this time lol.

done the fav as a saver with red cadeaux ready to pounce on a pace set too fast.
