I think you'll find that they've boycotted most punters by closing the accounts of anyone who dares win a few bob off them. They shouldn't be allowed an operating licence. |

The Racing Post should go some way to retrieving it's reputation by calling for those s **** bookmakers like Bet Victor to do the decent thing and resettle bets on Extra Noble. Failing that they should warn punters that they should not risk betting with them as in fiascos like this they will not be treated fairly.Come on you intrepid journalists for once put your head above the parapets and name and shame Victor Chandler.

Victor and Lads have gained significantly on the deal at this juncture in time. Paying out half stakes on a 16/1 rag over and above the rightful winner isn't going to break the bank. |

No but that is not the point...Stan James,365,Paddy and Hills have made ex gratia payments so why should anyone in future bet with Victor Chandler if he doesn't also play fair with those who backed the winner...he should pay up and then all the bookmakers should sue the BHA as it is their employee's negligence that has caused the problem and they will be insured for losses arising on the ineptitude and negligence of their emplyees.

years ago it was simple, no one looked for or got refunds for the likes of this, horses not starting etc at least then you knew where you stood. bookmakers in a way only have them selves to blame i suppose for starting it all, with cheap PR refunds in the past. it seems now that the punter feels its their duty to pay under circumstances like this one.

Sent this email to Timeform/Betfair radio which they discussed but when reading on air didn't read out the names of either the decent bookmakers or the welchers Ladbrokes and Bet Victor. Neither did they address the issue of the racing press not covering the fiasco.
What are your thoughts on the Extra Noble debacle at Kempton last Wednesday when the judge Dave Smith called a dead heat a result which the BHA have now overturned.365,William Hill,Paddy Power,Stan James have resettled the race and paid backers of Extra Noble yet Ladbrokes and Bet Victor have refused to pay up. Cyril Stein and Victor Chandler must be turning in their graves. Also why has the racing press ignored this fiasco until now when the betfair community have been up in arms over what was obviously a wrong call by the judge. |

it's their choice, they don't have to follow others with ex gratia payments
as dealer said, those that make punters assume they have a right when they don't, it's a concession for publicity if you don't like it don't bet with them, but they've done nothing wrong within the rules |
