It is with regret that after many years of loyal and ego massaging service, your position as a judge at British racecourses must now come to an end. I know this will hurt (your ego), but without a doubt, calling the wrong result on so many different occasions has lead to the Betfair community giving a vote of NO CONFIDENCE. I apologize for keeping the caps lock on but I know that with your bad eyesight you may have overlooked that point. Anyhow we thank you for your service and now wish to pat you rather firmly on the back as you walk through the door.

Complacency, & negligence it is though, rather than "bad eyesight". I used to quite like his commentaries in the 90's (generally at the gaff's). A pal of mine asked him by the paddock at Yarmouth one day why he did not get the call for any of the decent meetings? His reply suggested of nepotism in that department. My opinion is, a decent guy who just got too big for his boots. |
