I thought the post was about how desperate they can be on a day like today. I was always appalled at the three to four books who were situated next to the marquees in the premier enclosure, they just took the p*** out of the once a year racegoers, pricing up a couple of points less than the main ring.

so what? they in business or not? Probably paid a lot more to bet there. I do detest such ignorant posts

I do detest people who deliberately rip off once a year racegoers. I know who is the ignorant one here.

Wont be in business long. I stopped betting on the course many years ago as the on course books just take the piss now as all they want to do is trade with BF. I remember the day when getting a nice bet on EW at the correct place odds was the norm and when on course boards had "balls". Even in those days the silver ring was a point light of the main ring but still it was a lot better than now. Plus I got to keep all those losing cardboard tickets :-)

Holywell - there's a price on the board in neon lights. It isn't a ripoff, no matter how loud you decry it
