If people can't afford to pay to watch their racing on the telly, then they shouldn't be betting.

I subscribed to RUK,2yrs ago they cut me off on King George day,I emailed them a copy of my bank statement to prove it had been paid,they still wouldn't switch me back on,I repeatedly asked to talk to a manager or someone in authority still waiting so I told the clown that I was speaking to that they had lost a customer,he couldn't give a sh!t,so I cancelled.
A few years back my Dad signed up for RUK and because a little later they were struggling for customers they then dropped the price, so I phoned up and he confirmed for them he was OK with me speaking on his behalf and I asked could they drop to the new price for him too and they just wouldn't budge, coming out with all kinds of waffle when the truth was like most companies in this country they fall over themselves to try to attract new business whilst treating their existing customers with contempt because that's money they don't need to work for to collect.
I even told them that he had said if the answer was no regarding a reduction that he would not be renewing once his current contract was up and they didn't seem that bothered, which doesn't even make good business sense because for the sake of a few quid less each month they then lost a customer who would have stayed with them for years to come and paid them a lot more money than they would have "lost" had they given him the deduction.
As soon as his contract was up he kept his word and went over to Setanta which cost 50% less per month and also gave him 9 other sports channels and yet when that went belly up RUK wanted £20 per month which was double what he was paying Setanta and yet he would only have been getting one channel from RUK.
