Surely this must be the lay of the millenium, only 4th in what imo will turn out to be one of the worst post war Derby s,ran in a time that was over 6lengths slower than the Coronation Cup,and only 1/2 length faster than the handicap won by Sheikhzayedroad .

Nearly all his form is on softer conditions than today, and he looked a non stayer in the Derby, having had the run of the race

Could be totally wrong (wouldnt be the 1st time and wont be the last either if I am wrong)but I cant see BOM giving 3lbs and a beating to these on todays conditions, this horse appears to me to be another hyped up Ballydoyle wonder horse.

Chased leaders until led over 9f out, headed 6f out, 2nd straight, ridden to lead again 3f out, headed over 1f out, kept on same pace under pressure final furlong, lost 2 places last stride.
Would hardly call that the run of the race, may well outclass this lot of jumped up h/cappers I,m a backer.

It was a back for me.  I mostly agree with you about the quality of the Derby, it's just the King Edward VII Stakes this year is one of the worst collection of 3YO's for a group 2 I have seen for many a year.

6 lengths slower than the Coronation Cup .... with 15lb's wfa difference in maturity how do you think the two races should compare.  I would lay BOM but not on time grounds, time comparison only tells you the pace of the race and not comparable superiority

I think it's easy to slate most classic form, but the best 3 year olds turn up for them.. don't they?

I haven't got involved myself. If he got beat I'd blame it on the fact that it's only been 20 days since he ran in the Derby.

Which runner do you believe is most likely to win?

Agree with Mama. The Derby run was one hell of an effort. I cannot imagine AOB turning up here unless this fellow is ready to run. I am on!

really wanted to lay this but the rest are so poor he could just outclass them

I dont fancy anything in particular, but I dont think this horse is as good as most people seem to think it is.

And mmmalushka. imo he did get the run of the race in the Derby,he was up with the leaders in a slow run first 1/2 mile where he took the lead,he wasnt pressured for the lead, but weakened to finish 4th,horse had very chance

Poor ride in derby too promenant
Last 4 runs RPR 110 plus

Ground a doubt
Can see lay argument but overall backer not layer

KING EDWARD VII STAKES IS ARGUABLY THE MOST PUNTER-FRIENDLY PATTERN RACE RUN AT ROYAL ASCOT WITH 14 OF THE LAST 19 WINNERS STARTING FAVOURITE OR SECOND FAVOURITE.

NO-one thinks this horse is great but the rest seem really poor. BOM to win and Greatwood for a place.

Screamer of a result, winner beaten in two handicaps. Crazy  What a poor bunch they must be.
