Offer of double SP is not quite what it seems, although still very good. You have to lay out an equivalent amount on another race first, i.e. you have a £50 bet on the first race at Royal Ascot, and this entitles you to a £50 bet at double the SP on any other race at the meeting.

But as all the other comments on here, no problems getting on so far. As for what prices they lay, I get the feeling they are checking Oddschecker, and if the majority of the firms are a certain price, then this is what they will lay.

Specials today from Portland include Double SP race of your choice up to max £100, but you must qualify for this by placing another bet for the equivalent amount.  You can even have £100 at the guaranteed early price and back the same horse for £100 at Double SP (total £200)!!
If you've got a particular fancy for the day that seems a no brainer.

The prices on the site seem to be a bit slow, any idea if they take prices from one of the big firms so we can follow these as a guide instead of ringing up and being quoted different prices than were on the site?
