If Baltic Knight wins that, then remote is a certainty for the Britannia, holy
|
|
By:
I think you're are right motley, what puzzles me though is why Gosden put Dwyer up on it's last two runs, maybe the horse has surprised them.
|
|
By:
Not sure maybe Buick was elsewhere, was on Baltic last time, was kicked
out of the way, if he runs well against these was hoping they run him in the gr3.at ascot, be fav for brit. |

Haven't done a yankee or lucky 15 in 25 years, it's the 4 singles that
fcuks the L15. If the they offered 3 times the odds on a yankee, for one winner I'd have a pop now and then, when one goes down in a L15, you have lost a lot o dough ![]() |

Yeah but it's 15 bets, yankee's 11, your laying out more stake, if it was 3 times for one winner, chance of getting your
stake back, and maybe hitting jackpot once in a while, don't do multis anymore, tbh remember one man |

By:
^^^ Very good point.

By:
I like a lucky 15 bet, and at x3 the odds for 1 winner it makes it even better imo. My problem with a yankee is you can get a 20/1 winner, but have no returns for it.

Two total staked examples both running to £165
Win Lucky 15 @ £11 stake unit (Total stake $165). 1 loser=8 losing bets, so £88 stake lost. Win Yankee @ £15 stake unit (Total stake £165). 1 loser=7 losing bets, so £105 stake lost. The numbers suggest that the smarter bet is the lucky 15, but who the heck punts for losers. We stick 4 together because we think and want them all to win....And if that happens, then the Yankee with the £15 stake unit pays lumps more than the lucky 15. Swings and roundabouts. Though the roundabout looks a good lay at the moment!!! ![]() |

I don't want to back four £10 singles, and level stakes, £10er lucky = £10 Yankeee. Not £11 and £15
I'm lucking to get my cash back, the books promote the L15, the L15 is not a smart bet. If the yankee was 3 times for one winner, might interest me. |

Some good points made on lucky 15's and yankees. I see lucky 15's as a fun bet, triple the odds one winner is a bonus. I enjoy a drink on a Saturday afternoon which is one of the reasons I place these bets, experience tells me that drinking and gambling don't mix. These bets are placed in the morning together with some single bets I can then enjoy a bottle or two watching the racing.
Over the years I have had a number of four figure returns (no, not £10.01 ). |

Re Yankee v L15
3 winners at 4/1 £1 L15 = £215 £1.36 Yankee = £272 If you regularly have 1 winner in a L15 think about backing less horses (Nap) |
