i am all over it, the way it finished in the fielden and french guineas suggests the trip will be absolutely ideal. only dangers are morandi (unlucky in the guineas) and sky hunter (unexposed from a big yard).

the breeding does scream out derby. they were obviously considering the english guineas with the run in the fielden.
hope it takes this tomorrow on route to better things.
pathetic price for the arc, 14.5 on here, 16s with william hill.
id back it each way now but only at 33/1.

backed Morandi in the Guineas, can't see where he was unlucky that day myself, not good enough on the day. On Dasterhon today who was 2nd that day and stayed on well.Think he's big @15s on here, would be shorter if a big name trained him. GL ALL

Main doubt would be the ground for me, by far its least impressive performance came on heavy when it just held on all out over a mile at Maisons Laffitte in a conditions race as a 2yo though if as reported the ground is drying out from very soft under the sun it may get away with it. So at the prices enough doubt for me to take it on despite an obviously unlucky run last time in the French guineas.
Also in that race Peslier chose another mount instead so seems to suggest he didnt think it was a superstar waiting to happen. I agree with Stevie's dangers really as the bets, Morandi and Sky Hunter both around 8/1 look decent prices.
Morandi's best runs have come on heavy, winning by wide margins while Sky Hunter hasn't really turned a hair winning in lesser races (one very stylishly on heavy) so could be anything, though is described as a bit of a flat track bully by his trainer so has it to prove today but the odds to some extent compensate.
Dastarhon was run out of it on its only run over this trip as a 2yo but should be stronger now though again has to prove it in the ground while Bravodino looks more of a staying type to me who needs to run the finish out of them so might just be vulnerable to a turn of foot (Ocovango seemed to hold him quite comfortably last time even though it was only half a length although thats clearly not bad form at all).
Both of those drawn a bit wide though and Loch Garmon who wasnt far behind Battle of Marengo is another who could find improvement and has a better draw.

anybody know where i can watch this? i know its on ATR RUK but i'm going to be at the in laws later on and don't really want to change the tv channel to watch horse racing. i could sneak upstairs and use their 1990's computer but have noticed that it isn't on live video.

I would have thought Champion Stakes might be a bit more likely than the Arc. Second was ataying on as if he wanted further but the distance looked ideal for the winner.
