Looks like a bit of funny business going on here. Owner with two in race, one is fav with top jockey booked, the other 16/1 with inexperienced rider up. Outsider smashed in all morning to fav and then other one pulled out! What are the bets that there is a jockey change to boot?

Same scenario that Jim Best used a few years back to good effect!

Lizzie Kelly an inexperienced rider? She's the best jockey left riding in the race and is about as good as Gina.

Salut, apologies if I've misjudged Miss Kelly, however I'd assumed she was unlikely to be in the same league as Gins?

@ Trooper, that makes sense and I'm sure they must think they have a few pounds in hand given the p,Inge!

No need to apologise, just thought i would provide you with some information on her riding ability for future use. A year ago i would have agreed with you but Lizzie has improved a lot this season as she has gained experience and has developed a good tactical brain which most amateurs don't have. Gina maybe just about still edges it but very little in it, so Lizzie's 5lb claim would probably just about give her the edge imo.

According to the Betfair market (though no news of it on RP website) Gina is now riding Dune Shine anyway. Not sure whether that's a case of owner's opinion of riding ability or that she was on initial first string so showing loyalty to her.
