pair tonight in the last two races at windsor, plenum and plutocracy.
our ted durcan as kept the handbrake on in their six maiden runs, but looking at the market looks like a double is expected.
wonder what excuses connections have ready,4f longer trip for plutoracy for starters.

Backed Masquerading when he bolted up in a weak Kempton maiden. He was available at 10/1. Plutocracy might win but he doesn't have the same appeal at the current 5/2.

Does he need an excuse, this is Prescott's MO and he is revered as master trainer for getting expensively bred horses to win off lowly marks

excuse will be 'Ted's still learning,
but is slowly improveing as a jockey'.

ted is a bluffer of the highest pedigree......

plenum never put into race
Report knot in wood May 13, 2013 7:57 PM BST
would not give up with plenum.
longer trip and more positive ride would help.
late drift said it all.

Durcan, doesn`t know the race starts when the gates open, the amount of rides I`ve seen him in that held-up position at tracks where there is close to the pace bias is Well I`ve lost count. It`s not that he is not trying all the time, it`s he is a very poor jock over recent years.

i have not played either of these horses, but it was nice of copper to tell the viewers plenum might need the run...after the race.

Not sure if Pluto will stay the trip out fully

did not realise taylor had put them up,been out all afternoon.
both horses should win plenty of races through the season, and theres plenty from that yard still to come.

stewards held an enquiry to consider the improvement in form of plutocracy, which had never previously been placed.
trainer stated that colt had matured and was suited by longer trip, stewards forwarded to bha so that previous performanes could be looked at.

if the bha do their job, trainer could be in trouble hear.
couple of its previous runs were rancid, but because its only a young horse might get away with it.

trainer stated that colt had matured....

one of the stock excuses in trainerland. About time some stewards replied "well don't run any of your horses whilst still immature in future. You're ripping off the punters..... de yer foller?"

very few of these Lanigan jobs escape the market...all very predictable....rarely value
Report differentdrum May 14, 2013 9:26 AM BST
Can't see what the story is here. Horses with staying pedigrees improve markedly from two to three. There are any number of less predictable happenings in the game. The only question with these two was whether at the prices they represented any value.

BHA should go and ask O'Brien why his evens fav was tailed off at Chester the other day instead of arsing around asking why a horse has ran at a suitable trip for once and won
Report rab67 May 14, 2013 3:23 PM BST
Just waiting for a horse of his called Blackball, it's been entered up a few times in the last few weeks, 2 entries for Monday.
