I used to love CH4 racing with Thommo, Big Mac, Francome(greatest jockey) and Mike Cattermole. They were entertaining, witty and knowledgeable. Now we have the new team led by Claire Balding who for me are boring and mundane and not in the same league as the former. Anyone agree, or am I not moving with the times or getting too old?!

Not sure I was in love with that many of the old team but this is so much worse. Those in charge must either be clueless or more likely reluctant to admit how badly they have got things wrong. There is no feel for the game, no humour just a succession of bores screwing a living out of the game. They might have been able to get away with it on RUK but they should never have been given the opportunity on terrestrial television.

Francome was probably the biggest loss from old team, always thought Catt was ok, was not a big fan of Big Mac but to a wider audience I suppose he did have entertainment value.
I like Clare Balding when she turns up, and that interview with Sheik Mo when he turned away, thought she was very professional and asked the difficult question, great credit for that would have been so easy to duck it. I think with the present team on C4 maybe they haven't got the balance quite right yet. And maybe it's just his body language or something, but Jimbo doesn't look so comfortable alongside Cunningham as he was with Francome. |

Sounds like a good idea, they should follow the programme with Seaside Special and then the black and white minstrel show.
