They get early prices, antepost and so on from a provider (Super Soccer, Manny Bernstein etc). The show and data is provided by SIS.

And what a job that those chancers do...

"Super Soccer" could not price up a tin of peas and as for Manny Bernstein....Laugh

Fairtrader am i right in saying that Manny Bernstein have someone on the track supplying odds
to ind bookies
Report homefortea May 7, 2013 9:24 PM BST
That would be some chancer looking at oddschecker and knocking two points off each horse...

Sh!tgambler. No, they have an office in Lincolnshire I think. I would have thought that their operation is fully automated, more then likely off of here.

Pitch yerself in a busy pub (they are still about in the right place) scatter a load o slips.
Buy 20 copies of the Star 20p each, take the racing bit out leave on the tables.
Stick c4 on and change to 415 after c4 races
Throw a load o pens about , have a float of fivers and nicker bits get yer pen and calculator out and away you go.
So your overheads are 20 daily stars a pen a calculator and a couple o pints.
The police aren't interested and unless your right next to a betting shop no one will give a ****.
Give the bar staff all yer change and bung the landlord a score on the way out.
Dress smart be polite, thats all you need (so I'm told).

So speaks a failed Betting Shop Owner....

If I could be bothered I could make a fortune.

1/Do not set up in a sh i tehole location...
2/Have a clue.
3/Have a personality.
Report maineroad May 8, 2013 9:19 PM BST
The chances now of making a fortune are zero.
The chances of setting up in anything other than a **** hole location are zero.
There are plenty of people who have a clue but still couldnt make it pay.
In the 80s you didnt need a personality you made fortunes for free by just turning up.

Before I get an abusive reply I used to run a shop that took 50k a week 15 years ago pre-FOBTS..

Saw some figures from the same shop recently and it is only taking 15k now (the FOBTS clearly keep it going)

Was sitting at my barbers on the Quayside looking at a shop a few doors away (and 300 yards away from my old shop) and I could recreate those days with a new venue and the FOBTS would be the gravy.

But why...Who wants to rip off recent arrivals and the mentally challenged....

15 years ago, no 20 grand for sis,no 2 grand for g.c. no competition from on line, phone or mobile. still reckon you can make it pay like 15 years ago, welcome to cloud cuckoo land.

No problem indybookie because I would have a smile on my face for winners and a pat on the back for the losers.

Too many alleged Bookmakers are clueless....
