I posted the following message on 'other sports' a couple of weeks ago , following 'Sir' Chris Hoy's premature retiral but that is the Marie Celeste of forums . I suspect this is because many of it's readers are cyclists and therefore too busy preening themselves to reply. I know those who follow horse racing will be prepared to indulge in a more robust debate (incidentally, why would any cyclist be on Betfair ? ). Anyway : re 'Sir' Chris
First sign he might not win and what does he do? Gives up! What kind of example is that to set to young people? If he isn't stripped of his knighthood he should at least be made to return the bicycle which the taxpayer had to stump up thousands for.
