This is as clear as it possibly gets. If this result isn't changed I think that should signal the end of stipes FULL STOP. Every race should be first past the post, close the stewards' rooms, cut the costs and simply dish out jockey penalties from High Holborn.

Hushwing, i agree, they keep banging on about the distance, it's nonsense, the second was almost level when it was almost put over the rails and brought to its knees, it's not asurprising it wasn't beaten the necessary nose!

You need to be sure that it was cost more ground by the interference than it lost by.

Seems like Cannon did the usual deliberate blocking off maneouvre knowing in 999/1000 he keeps the race but obviously attempting to put the horse and jockey over the rail leaves it in doubt.

Unbelievable decision, get the stipe on to explain what the point of stewards actually is. They are a complete waste of money.

Having just read the rules the longer it goes on the less likely it is for a result to change.

The stewards are instructed that the longer a debate goes on the less likely they should be to change the result

I must say, if Brennan had ridden out and closed to about a length, then the result would probably have been changed.

our game is full of people who have to be seen to be " superior "...the stewards are like little hitlers or referees if you want...full of their own self importance...the betfair market should be the guide in this day and age....if the horse who is hampered trades under 1.7 then just give him the race....this horse traded at 1.14 and would have won.
  same thing happens with the going descriptions....some tw@ with a pointy stick prods the ground and expects us to take his word for it....3 races are run that day and race times are telling us that it is good/firm yet this tw@s pointy stick says its good/soft...its pathetic.
