YUP---how many more times will we say it and see it----i despise the man---be a 8-1 shot in a couple of runs and bolt up
By:
It's getting beyond a joke now. What is more blatant. Is that they are ALWAYS 'backed'
His drifters don't tail off |
By:
and i never had a bet in the race
By:
no doubt it will be out next week and shiit in
By:
leave Johnston alone, that guy makes me plenty laying his jollies, pity i'm too compulsive to bet in other races.
By:
I seem the price this morning and was waiting all day for it to see if it held 'support' then it did and I fully expected it to be tailed off.... I dunno why I stood aghast as it did indeed!! Come tailed off last. Hahah MJ is such a complete t wat it's beyond a joke now

By:
he's no different to most trainers with his favs
if you are laying you are being selective so the trainer is not the most relevant factor |
By:
Favourites 633 263 42% 58.06 418 66%
johnston favs all races on good/firm or faster |
By:
Favourites 1881 687 37% -159.98 1152 61%
the above for all his favs since 2003, nothing out of the ordinary, better than many trainers. |
By:
what about this season ?
By:
Its not that they get beat its the fact they can be beaten half the track and run again within the month and pi55 up
By:
2013 49 18 37% -8.43 31 63%
this year i'm not saying he's not layable with favs but certainly no blanket system |
By:
exactly biscar
By:
cheers
By:
agree biscar its the remarkable transformations and usually in stronger races than the ones they were tailed off in.
By:
Nellie Bly at Lingfield there, beaten 62 lengths 12 days ago leads till inside the final furlong, btn a length and a half today
By:
biscar---exactly
By:
just another rancid operation. defo giving the horses something for them to tail off/perform so badly
By:
But MJ never has a bet
By:
Not sure about Deirdre and that lad of his though
By:
MJ "Always Lying".
By:
Can't argue with the always trying thing though I've always found him very trying
By:
and to think they have started in the greyhound buisiness---god forbid
By:
Mojave Desert 2.50. Virtually pulled up last week.
By:
this ones been shocking bix in 2 runs
trip should have been ok too just looks a very modest animal |
By:
50/1 so it would have to have a treble dose of Al's concoction to figure but nothing would surprise me with this stable?.
By:
hannon and johnston similar number of runners last 7 years
hannon horses tailed off last run btn 30l or more:159 johnston:413 |
By:
*last 10 years should have been (since 2003 )
By:
Interesting stat edge,
Sir Graham Wade didnt exactly cover himself in glory when 9/4 2nd fav last time, much better race today usually the cue for a remarkable transformation?. |
By:
yes looks like one of his ones silver greaser
improvement then a bit of a stall, people think no more improvement then another pb after a moderate run (especially if upped in trip). i suppose with SGW, fitness could have been the reason for 1st run. |
By:
well that sure improved from nowhere
By:
he and fanning are fooking disgusting individuals
By:
And some people still defend this rancid mob religiously?, his luck has to run out sometime?.
By:
amazing what a difference 9 days makes

By:
edge, getting back to SGW 3 of the 4 horses who finished ahead of him were also having their first bow of the season.
By:
perhaps this horse really needed it a lot
was beat miles from 2 to 3 debut then won next time. wouldn't be surprised to see it much sharper, not a betting race for me though. |
By:
* i get that the 3yo debut may have been too sharp (10f) as won when stepped up.
be interesting to see, just never know with MJ. i think its best to stick at his fav courses/race types he is very good at southwell with 3yo track debutants (30% from 150 runners). also very strong at beverley. most of hte time though i just have no idea what sort of horse is going to turn up at the track. i think more of his are tailed off because they are so aggressively ridden, if they are not spot on they end up out the back after blowing a gasket. |
By:
as grade one tracks go he likes Ascot and Goodwood and is very fond of these staying flat races.
