I have to refresh 3 or 4 times a race now been like that for last 6 days here.
Report bilbobaggins • April 30, 2013 2:15 PM BST
You just can't do that in flat races , there is not enough time. Sort it out Betfair.
Report bilbobaggins • April 30, 2013 2:16 PM BST
Has BCM2 been made redundant or something  - he was the only person in Betfair that looked as though they gave a sh*t.
Report tomhunt • April 30, 2013 2:17 PM BST
haven't had any e-mails or calls or seen any notifications it's as if they really don't give a fook.
Report dustybin • April 30, 2013 2:18 PM BST
ive noticed that when i scroll the forum page it pauses the LV????
Report dustybin • April 30, 2013 2:19 PM BST
using the scroll whell on the mouse, the pics pause but seem not to lose speed as sound continues
Report tomhunt • April 30, 2013 2:20 PM BST
yep and also unplug dongle in your Sky box.
Report Wesdag • April 30, 2013 2:23 PM BST
Yarmouth seemed ok here.
Report bilbobaggins • April 30, 2013 2:26 PM BST
It's very subtle Wes - it does decay during the race so you might be 3.5 secs ahead as they leave the stalls but only 2 (if you're lucky) when they reach the line.
Report Wesdag • April 30, 2013 2:30 PM BST
Ok BB, will take a bit more notice for the next.

Was nothing as drastic as we had the other day.
Report bilbobaggins • April 30, 2013 3:13 PM BST
You must have noticed it stop mid race there Wes at Yarmouth.
Report Wesdag • April 30, 2013 3:16 PM BST
Indeed, a slight pause there.
Report PairOfSuitedAces • April 30, 2013 3:47 PM BST
I emailed them about Sunday's really poor video service. At first I received a reply that had absolutely nothing (literally) in the body of the email so I emailed again asking why Betfair didn't issue an apology and also what happened to BCM2. They said they had passed the email on to the relevant team about the apology but there was no mention of BCM2.

Whilst I know only too well how annoying it is when it doesn't work properly, in the name of balance... I have been playing for the last hour and not had any problems which suggests there maybe other factors as well as BF involved. I have had the odd stuttery picture, but nothing that has cost me any time - just over 4secs in front of ATR pre and post race.
Report bilbobaggins • April 30, 2013 4:14 PM BST
The pausing is constant - worst at Yarmouth, then Lingfield and Bath is fractionally the best. Betfair's contempt for their customer does on surprise given their record but to just ignore people having problems is extraordinary.

not
Report rcing • April 30, 2013 4:15 PM BST

Report starfish and coffee • April 30, 2013 4:15 PM BST
Fine here all day
Report rcing • April 30, 2013 4:17 PM BST
bilbo , maybe you have problems with your internet or computer as you seem to have alot of problems with live video where others dont .
Report Betfair Community Manager 2 • April 30, 2013 4:26 PM BST
Still here - having it checked but today (at least) doesn't seem to be widespread and not seeing it myself
Report bilbobaggins • April 30, 2013 4:36 PM BST
Thanks guys and good to hear from you BCM2 - you went missing for some time.
Report bilbobaggins • April 30, 2013 4:40 PM BST
Just worked it out - my wireless router doesn't like to be overheated and it was quite close to the back of the PC which I have just noticed was rather warm. Moved it away and seems to be much better. Simple things!
Report bilbobaggins • April 30, 2013 4:43 PM BST
Still seems to be pausing though.
Report rcing • April 30, 2013 4:46 PM BST
bilbo , try a " internet reliability test "

also , run a virus scan using whichever one you have

best to run a scan with "malware antimalwarebytes" aswell to be sure , it is free to download
Report bilbobaggins • April 30, 2013 4:48 PM BST
Thanks rcing but I've got a Mac and really don't think it's necessary. Everything else and I mean everything works absolutely perfectly . I'm sure it's not me . Are you really not getting any pauses ?
Report rcing • April 30, 2013 4:50 PM BST
ahh ok . but still worth doing a reliability test

no pauses here
Report Wesdag • April 30, 2013 5:01 PM BST
Indeed, hardware issues are worth taking into account.

It's worth checking how hot your processor gets if you're using a laptop.
