Too many sharks about recently with massive £10,000 lays forcing prices to drift well above bookies odds.
One race had 7 runners with many thousands on the lay side forcing the whole field to drift.
Is this one person or a syndicate working together?

yep I noticed that  , unusually large amounts in weak races appear suddenly forcing drifts and thought it odd myself given amounts , in races where you were hard pushed to get three figures high 4 figures were suddenly appearing

2 or three in some races last time had a good play and outwith first three in betting occasionally , strange considering class of race

Surely the question to be asked is why Betfair stand by and allow blatant market manipulation by no contribution trading parasites with no other agenda than to scalp their own customers.

Activity seeking to manipulate the market is now allowed on other trading platforms in the City under any circumstances - why is it acceptable on this exchange...?

I wonder what all the £20 punters that Betfair are spending fortunes advertising for would think if they knew that Betfair have invited legions of ticket tout like scalpers on to the site with no other agenda than to get in between them and their matcher and steal a slice of the winners' profits...

I agree with OP , pretty risky now when you cant even guage the amount ahead of you in a class 6

Theres a limit you will go to to balance things but not these amounts
