with an in depth, yet succinct, one sentence spotform....

Khubala – [9/1] too firm, too far, tar!

Princess of  Orange – [12/1] 1st run in 2012 last – last run 2012 last, today, no idea!

Spirit of  Sharjah – [14/1] only win in last 3 years was a 2 runner affair + Shelley now allowed on

Karam Albaari – [12/1] last on 3 out last 4 runs and they were 524 days ago

Noble Citizen – [18/1] for Alices first turf ride of the year is asking a lot..

Swiss Cross – [11/2] only one previous try at 7f for this barn and finished last

Galican  - [2/1] against my religion to back a favourite

King of Jazz – [5/1] both runs in 2013 of note, peaking, player here

Fast Finian – [10/1] ex Irish, no GB turf 7f form (g/f) to refer

Bayleaf – [10/1] John Best is rarely these days

Comrade Bond -  [16/1] Triple course winner but MHT will report run needed.

Conclusion  - King of Jazz the proverbial each-way bet to nowt

just my humble opinion

King of Jazz is a non winner, only a single maiden to his name at 5yo, failed to win despite dropping 14lb in the weights and he is a type that punters should avoid as a betting strategy - often short in the betting, rarely if ever wins

7/2 Galician was a decent price, lifetime best last time same mark and will appreciate the faster going (2 good efforts on fast on only two occasions she encountered it last year), SDS riding at 40% for the yard on 4yo+ this season

now best priced 11/4, also entered on Friday at Mussleburgh where she might run under penalty if winning on Tuesday. Won back to back races in May 2012 including on good to firm.

I was looking at this race earlier and think Fast Finian will run well.  Has been in good form on AW but always tend to pull hard and not settle.  I see blinkers are fitted for the first time and think this will help him.  Callan has a good record when he rides for this stable and D'arcy has a reasonable record at Yarmouth.

the blinkers could light him up more? Swardean, seems to have been campaigned alot on the AW for some reason..

Fair point Delta, they could indeed have the reverse effect, ground was atrocious last summer so perhaps lack of opportunities kept him on the AW?

the horse ran twice in turf handicaps off 73 and was stuffed both times

runs off 85 tomorrow, seems a very harsh mark indeed

Princess Of Orange is a huge price (16/1 avail) in my opinion, was highly tried a few times last year, fitness a worry like most of them, but a good e/w bet for me. Good luck to everybody with their bets tomorrow.

I backed King of Jazz last time at Donny, expected a big effort, but the jockey was about as vigorous as Mr Motivator with his arms and legs tied together. Whether tomorrow is the day is anyones guess.

Good luck.

"We have two runners today at Yarmouth. Comrade Bond goes in the 7f handicap at 3.40 - he loves Yarmouth and always seems to run very well there, but he usually needs his first run of the year as he can get on the fizzy side. I think that might be the case today but I have been surprised in the past and these old horses are sometimes fitter than you think"
