Roesinin was 1.02 in first race at towcester
I layed this just before the off at 1.02 and kept the bet yet i didn't win.
Can anyone explain that as i'm lost?

What don't you understand? Say you layed for £1, but £5k was already up before you, and in the event £3k was matched at that price. Clearly you would miss out. Unfortunate but no-one was stopping you go 1.03 and then happy days ....
