I think you'll find that the liquidity at the job centre will not be to
your liking either.
Report MrHunt • April 28, 2013 10:38 PM BST
plenty liquid being a plumber Laugh

If the IR lark has had it how does Koo... keep his string going?
Report s.kenbo • April 28, 2013 10:46 PM BST
I'm a bricky MrHunt, and the last place i'd look for work would be the job center.

Any kind of construction work nowadays is through a fooking agency, who want to charge the earth for you, but pay you peanuts. They really have fooked things up for the trades.
Get in touch with some old contacts. Good luck if you are serious about it. Things are picking a bit, but we are years away from anything decent again.
Report MrHunt • April 28, 2013 10:51 PM BST
cheers kembo..was arny kidding...mite just retire...

nee idea stewy..but the liquidity in running is absolutely dire atm.
Report Arklearkle • April 28, 2013 11:06 PM BST

Report sweetchildofmine • April 28, 2013 11:08 PM BST
can you not just semi retire, do it part time from home, can you not make a half decent living doing that?
Report racingstar • April 28, 2013 11:09 PM BST
Nobody has "fast pictures",Arkle.
Merely, some that are delayed less than others.

Lazy guy across the road got called into Job Centre. He has never had a job and didn`t want one, so when the clerk asked what he worked as he replied, "Lion Tamer" with a broad grin.

"Lion Tamer", quizzed the clerk, "Surely you mean Lion B******"!!

Report howard • April 29, 2013 1:52 PM BST
Sorry to hear that Wazza ( Seaton Burn )  I was handy for some  visits this summer ( in Dudley ) But if the RUK pics stay quick it saves money. I know the economy is bad but have the on course players increased too much for both themselves and everyone else ?
Report use2begudear • April 29, 2013 2:19 PM BST
On course players were always going to kill the game off - now they are taking each other on and no mug money left it has become much harder - thats before Bet"fair" take their slice of the cake Laugh

is the seaton burn shop reopening elsewhere or is there not enough players to keep it viable
Report MrHunt • April 29, 2013 4:19 PM BST
the latter
Report mr crisp • April 29, 2013 4:21 PM BST
wheres the nearest trading shop to newcastle left open now then
Report bugs bunny • April 29, 2013 4:22 PM BST
with faster ruk and blv there wont be many shops left soon ,just small home players versus the sharks on track
Report bugs bunny • April 29, 2013 4:28 PM BST
there was a shop at thornaby mr crisp but dunno if its still open
Report MrHunt • April 29, 2013 4:29 PM BST
thornaby and donny are closed shops now so nearest is long way away,i have been offered the room we use at newcastle on race days to use as a trading shop as the sis n turf are already there its a viable proposition and got 8-9 interested in coming there with me but this game has tightened right up now and is no longer lucrative.
Report bugs bunny • April 29, 2013 4:37 PM BST
blimey so thornaby and donny are closed as well cant be many left ,wouldnt it make more sense to trade from home if ruk is same as turf and blv is same as sis  ?
Report MrHunt • April 29, 2013 5:26 PM BST
Closed shops as in regulars only and not open to public,do it from home and ita lonely and really need 2 set ups to have blv on separate monitor etc and if ruk slow down your disadvantaged again and with the in running liquidity dire the situation is uneasy.
Report sweetchildofmine • April 29, 2013 5:35 PM BST
has the shooting scared away some of the clientele from seaton?
Report dustybin • April 29, 2013 5:37 PM BST
aint the seaton shop clients just going to tracks now instead?
Report howard • April 29, 2013 5:41 PM BST
Has the IR liquidity really changed that much ? Or is it there is a higher percentage of good judges at the tracks ?
Report MrHunt • April 29, 2013 5:56 PM BST
shooting had no effect on custom,SB shop always had track players but also had 8-10 daily regulars but as been said why pay £200 a week to sit in trading shop when you can get ruk for £20 a mth and blv free with a £5 trade...liquidity is dire at short and big prices atm worst ive ever seen.

Its gone down and will go down more
Why the  normal punter  has no chance.. 4 years ago  it was thier £10..£20 £50  £100 quids ,back or lay that made the pot . today  its dog eat dog  and whats left is the smart men .. inside info  , good form  men , market traders . you can still win backing/ or laying  but you have to be one step ahead  of the game ..
check my joining date .... seen them all come and go .. but thats life
my moto  ...its all bent lump on .
Report bugs bunny • April 29, 2013 8:13 PM BST
the bad players  eventually run out of money then your left with fast pic boys fighting for the scraps forcing prices much shorter than they should be because theres fresh air in the boxes ,all good things come to an end
Report MrHunt • April 29, 2013 8:25 PM BST
couldnt agree more..strange tho that the liquidity seems to have disappeared in a matter of weeks...

REALLY ?

I am finding that  a lot of my PRE-Race Backs - with a 'Stake Saving' 'Keep' Lay  - are NOT being matched at around EVENS - let alone - "shorter than they should be" .....

When they would have ALL been easily MATCHED months ago.
