Nonsense. Countless flat races are decided with large portions of luck. Starting stalls/waiting for gaps to appear that never do/horses hanging and hampering at crucial stages/stupid courses like Goodwood and Epsom where horses are hanging into the rail.

i was always of the opinion that flat was the only way to make money but looking at the handicaps so far this year, its a bit of a lottery game

NH all day for me,although i do like in-running and the flats a bit quick for me now.

Total rubbish, how many times do you watch a flat race and your horse gets no run at all because it is boxed in and no gap appears. Far more imponderables on the flat then jump racing.

Of course it is very easy to get boxed in on a non trier. Loved the flat one time but [i]almos[/i]t hate it now - all tugging and pulling. Boring boring - roll on November
