If so have a look at dickie's rides, will be trying to get off to a flyer whilst mccoy is on the sidelines, in the race for that elusive first champion title, starting tomorrow at Ludlow

nice try StillLearning, he has only been trying to steal a march for about 14 years now...
Tony McCoy would need to have been handcuffed to the same radiator in Lebanon with Terry Waite for Dickie to have won a title, sadly Imo he won’t.
One more season for AP I reckon. Get to 4,000 winners and he'll be off.
When he does decide to retire I wonder if he will join the training ranks, maybe JP will be one of his patrons. He will no doubt have learned a lot from jonjo on how to 'ready one'.
I can't see him doing a 'Fitzy' and joining the media gravy train, having said that I would like to see him presenting alongside Lydia on RUK, now that would be something to behold.

Discuss and agree a plan with the owner / s, train the horse with the plan in mind, successfully achieve the objectives and you retain many happy owners.
Alternatively you could run the horse over it's wrong distance on unsuitable ground with the stables claimer or 'strangler' onboard until the big day arrives when the main man is onboard and the readies are down.
