In human medicine a doctor has to write a drug up and sign for it - i.e. prescribe it. It then has to be checked by 2 nurses/pharmacist before it is given/administered to the patient. I don't know what Vetinary protocol is, does anyone on here know?

just raised a similar point on another thread, I note that they are using the term "vets assistant" when talking about it, they say the "vets assistant" just done as he/she was told by the trainer.

ethylestrenol comes as a paste which can be administered orally. There is no need to inject.
