Al Zarooni doping scandal. He takes all the blame including sourcing drugs and getting a qualified vet to administer without any knowledge of what he/she was injecting.
British top brass blindly accept. Severe punishment administered.Case closed. All within 4 days. Please just say if you think this is acceptable.Yes or no will suffice.

Hope there isn't a whistle blower seizing an opportunity to make some hard cash out of this. Some in the stable must know something surely ?

No - the vets professional body should take action against him/her, if a vet, they seem to be using the term "vets assistant", they didn't know what they were injecting, lol.

No, racing manager, vet, supplier of drugs all need to be investigated. And of course the owner. Zarooni was obviously being placed under intense pressure to succeed but he is only one small cog in the machine. The Trainer in name only. The whole team should shoulder responsibility.

no,godolphin should be banned from all racing until the whole truth comes out, after all the sheikh and crisford run and take the credit for the whole show.dawn approach winning the 2000 in these colours will leave a particularly nasty taste.if sheikh m.is really serious about cleaning up this mess he should disband godolphin immediately,it is tainted beyond any repair.use the maroon and white for dawn approach[cosmetic,i know but not as vomit inducing as "trained by the boys in blue"

Not acceptable. The idea that they can announce, prosecute , convict and close case in 4 days is ridiculous. The story seems to be getting traction in areas of the media not normally interested in racing. Hopefully some proper journalists might look a bit deeper than the gravy train passengers.

Vets assistant "didn't know what he was injecting".

He / she must think we were all born yesterday.

Anyone working with horses worth a kings (or sheikhs) ransom is REALLY going to inject them with an unknown / mystery substance?

Watershed moment for this sport. You've not heard the half of it yet.

Al Zarooni's statistics are quite remarkable, and from 386 individual runners, 149 of them won which means an impressive 39 per cent of all the horses he ran in a three-year period were successful.

Definately Not Convinced

Would any qualified Vet,Vet's Assistant whatever really inject a high value throughbred racehorse without knowing what was in the syringe ?

If Sheikh M is appalled then I wonder if he has lost confidence in Crisford, who seems to have been blissfully unaware of what was going on under his nose.

There's no point expecting the vast majority of Racing Journalists/Pundits ( Using the description advisedly ) to say or uncover anything of significance either. They are too frightened of rocking the (gravy) boat.

For the most part as far as the Racing Press is concerned, maybe one or two excepted to be fair, the silence has been deafening.

Mike, he had 2 horses fail tests previously and was warned he'd probably be random tested within a year. Either the bloke must be incredibly stupid or he's been let down very badly by the chemists and their masking agents.

Today's outcome as it stands is totally unacceptable.

No  not convinced, its almost unbelievable that his employers knew nothing about it,the worry is how many more are at it,i always thought Godolophin were the one outfit ,beyond this , how much is there of this going on, when you see certain trainers improve horses and defy logic with their improvement, there will now be a question mark in the minds of all serious punters and rightly so.

Juicing, milk shaking, call it what you will.

The game is corrupt as corrupt can be. It is clearly rife at the top end and rampant
at the bottom.

The winter a/w is simply beyond belief. Horses, usually more than once a meeting are smashed
in the market and dot up having shown nowhere near that level of form over the previous few weeks.
