3 months. And for an anti-bleeding drug administered to one horse.

In Mahmood Al Zarooni's case he was apparently trying to create the ultimate , all-conquering Robo-horse by jacking up a third of the yard on steroids

TRAINERS Tony Martin and Jim Best found themselves in trouble with the Newmarket stewards on Saturday after being found guilty of a breach of instruction C7 – which governs restrictions on substances administered to racecourses.

Martin was fined £1,500 and Best £1,000 after two members of stable security stafffound employees of the trainers in attendance with Leg Spinner and Gee Dee Nen in possession of prohibited substances.

Stipendiary steward William Nunneley said: "Both trainers said theyknew the rules but prohibited substances had accidentally beentaken into the stabling area by their staff.

"In Martin's case it was quite a serious substance, one with a local anaesthetic affect, but there was no suggestion they were going to be used."
Martin was also found with the means to administer.

Do ANY of these f**king trainers know what is happening to horses in their care?!?!?

The 2 clowns above get fined 1k...................Zaroonis been screwed

wasn't binocular withdrawn from cheltenham the year after his miraculous recovery when on holiday in Ireland getting treated by the Coolmore vet for having traces of a steroid in its system along with other horses from chemical nicks yard?, so it wasn't just a one off with Henderson and as for the anti bleeding drug its a performance enhancer hence why its banned on race days.

it allows them to perform to their potential and prevents them from serious injury
but does not make them go faster ...read the feckin thing numptie heed

steroids /blood doping/epo/blood enrichment/ect ect ect ect ect  makes em go faster and enhances the performance ....

plenty non peds are banned ...

performance enhancing drugs aid in recovery. This quicker recovery allows them to train harder and more often and in turn makes them much faster
