This would at least have shown that it was just a Zarooni problem and did not involve the whole Godolphin operation.

makes you wonder why there was always such a big gap between godolphin's horse winning the Dubai World Cup and their next run.

what is the oficial  position regarding steroids (out of training),bute, lasix in dubai ?

what is the official rules on steroids out of training in AUS/IRE/USA/UK

what is the official line in these countries ?     are steroids  allowed for injured horses ?

its clear that in the states and aus they are being used ,but is it legal in these countries or are rules being bent ?

they dont test out of training in ireland and the rest of the world.

ffs all sheikh wanted to do with the Zarooni project is be able to compete on a level playing field, surely not much to ask after all the good he has done for our sport!!!

"Anabolic steroids are allowed to be used in the UAE..."

http://www.thenational.ae/sport/horse-racing/anabolic-steroids-permitted-in-uae-to-aid-horses-recovery-from-colic-or-serious-fractures

"...those substances referred to in Rule 95B2..." include LSD, heroin, cocaine and amphetamines but not steroids.

Hopefully all Godolphin horses will now be tested from both yards. If 11 horses failed out of 45-odd randomly tested it's fair to assume there's another 50 in the Al Zarooni yard who would have failed. The sooner their identities are known the better for the upcoming racing.

So why dont they test every horse in Newmarket over the next month starting tomoz ?

then everyone can be reassured  its not endemic ?

good question

If they were really on the ball and wanted to protect racings interests they could have sampled his horses and kept the results under their hat. Then done similar tests on all the other top yards and then been able to say without a shadow of doubt the game is clean except for one rogue trainer  or had a watershed moment .
As it stands it leaves the entire game under a cloud .
No doubt the decision was not taken lightly and the collateral damage was taken into account but if they had said they had tested all the top yards they could have restricted the damage done to Flat Racing in the UK.
Joe public will just see horse racing in the same light as cycling imo.The TDF  started with a drip drip and slowly  turned into a torrent the sport could no longer  suppress , and the rest is history .
Seems many on here cant see the big picture and are only interested in petty point scoring .

wise up,the damage to the sport will be massive.

Also the sport has left itself wide open to accusations of a witch hunt.

He has previous for failed tests it appears(did not know that )  and has not heeded warnings ,proceeded to offend and left them with no option .

lot more to come out imo ....dick francis stuff imo Whoops

No bread the damage to the sport wont be massive.

Cycling was shown to be an almost 100% corrupt sport and God knows it has to be the most boring on the planet
after F1.

But, guess what, it has now, never been so popular.

The general public think greyhound racing is extremely bent LOL. It is the straighest sport by a country mile. Any trainer who finds time or lands a gamble gets sacked, simple as.

It is all about perseption. People like skullduggery in racing and the public will probably think by exposing this horse racing will get straighter in the future.

Unless you kill, rape or bite someone, all publicity is good publicity.
