You should do on a decent sample size, over round of 110% approx.and don't give any Best odds guaranteed concessions.Although the vast majority of bets will be concentrated on first 2 in betting. If u have a decent knowledge of racing,u should have a reasonable idea of when to hedge and not.
If you are risk averse, could just lay it all of on here for a minimal return(presuming the stakes won't be too hectic)

I do this most Saturdays. Five to a dozen punters from 1.30 til 5. Ten and twenty quidpoets. Average profit, £80-£100 a week. biggest loss £260, biggest win, £400+. If they all bet the same horse, you could either stand the bet, or lay it off on here. One of my punters does favourites every race.

About three years. Probably £2k in front. Bought a box of 10,000 old style two part betting slips from a company called Betsol. £40 plus delivery ( quite a lot because they weigh about 12kg) plus VAT . still probably have 9,000 left !! Plenty of pens lying around for free.

how can anyone with half a brain compare laying on an exchange to laying on a high street or course
as an exchange player has no perceived odds advantage as he is operating within a 99% under-round on the lay side
where as a bookmaker operates at a positive 120%-140% over-round.
plus a layer on an exchange has to pay charges which means he/she on average is making a 3%-6% loss
Of course bookmakers will hope to fool judges into thinking that the 2 operations are both the same
but judges understand both business models and percent's and thus it would take a very foolish judge
or minister to rule them both the same and I think over a million exchange players would have a few words
to say about such a massive con if it came into ruling and thats a nap my betting friends

if anyone had layed the racing post paper favs yesterday they would of made a massive profit and
I wonder how on big days festival periods and Saturdays when the moneys being betted that
so many of the Racing posts favourites lose to order?
The only favs that seem to win these days are the ones that are created by the exchanges once
real betting has taken place and these prices are cpopied to the Industry prices which makes
the retuned favs look much more even than the very shoddy racing post tissue favs
