Any reason why every race is off at least 5 minutes late?

its the track configuration, have to go down all the way to the 1m2f start

If that is the case, then why not have a bigger gap between races?
Or is that too obvious to think of for the race planners? |

I could be wrong but sometimes at Epsom and Sandown it feels like the races would be late off regardless of the gap between them.
