Great stuff wasnot, isn't it shocking the NHS cannot meet his needs. I'll donate £10 quid
and if Guising wins at Windsor I'll double it. I'd get a lot of pleasure watching a bookie suffer ![]() |

is it ok to ask a few questions
Went on page/saw various children asking for donations how are are these children picked? |
|
By:
They are selected by Caudwell Children, a National registered charity. Caudwell Children then get the family to apply for fundraising support. If they meet the Caudwell criteria (including a means test) then they sign a contract with Caudwell and Caudwell manage their campaign.

The former Credit Suisse investment banker earns £150,000 a year as chief executive of the company.
JustGiving charges 5 per cent on fundraising. But it applies the charge after gift aid is added - a 25 per cent top-up from the government - and also includes a credit card charge. In all, up to 6.5 per cent is taken from the amount that would otherwise go to the charity. JustGiving was founded by Zarine Kharas and Anne-Marie Huby, who pioneered the concept. In an interview with the London Evening Standard last year, Kharas said it was a 'for-profit' organisation. Charitygiving.co.uk Dove Trust charges 0% |

Caudwell receive nothing for doing this. All of their expenses are covered by John Caudwell, a philanthropist. This is why I like Caudwell Children, all of the money raised goes to the child's campaign and Caudwell hold the money as trustees for the child.

I agree that justgiving take a cut, but they do all the work reclaiming the gift aid to be fair.

obviously I know your intentions are well, and Luke but when I see directors taking a very healthy wage I'm put off.

If John Caudwell is paying all the ex's of Caudwell Children does it matter how much the chief exec is on? Unlike other charities, the salaries don't come out of the donations.

From the website: "Upon the successful sale of his family business, entrepreneur and philanthropist, John Caudwell, committed to a long-term partnership with the charity. Frustrated with the lack of transparency from other charities, Mr Caudwell agreed to cover the annual management and administration costs of the charity through a single donation; therefore providing complete transparency to fellow benefactors.
Due to the unique association with the Caudwell Family, the charity can boast that 100% of direct donations are used to directly support disabled children. In addition to this, the charity team work closely with suppliers to negotiate the best possible deals, ensuring each charitable £1 is doubled to provide at least £2 worth of support." |

John Caldwell the billionaire is paying the directors out of his own pocket?

The Towcester bookies have put their hands in their pockets too. In up to £785 for the lad now. Amazing stuff ![]() |

My mate has had a whip around at work and with his in the pot we are up to £905. Would be amazing if we could get up to £1,000. Any other bookies on here not pledged yet? If anyone is unsure about it, google duchenne muscular dystrophy and see what this poor little lad is going through. My pain from the ride is insignificant. If we can make his life a little better it will all be worth it.

No, I don't know them mugbookie. Found out about the appeal through the charity Caudwell Children. Tamworth is not too far from me and it seemed so cruel and unfair so I wanted to help. Duchenne MD is horrible.
