We thought it might be help to provide an official response explaining why we are not live at Newmarket or Cheltenham today, so here goes:

90 days - 52 Saturdays = 38 other days (imo) surely due one this weekday

They probably double count. Sandown and Donny both on Saturday = 2 days racing (NAP).

claire was too busy fawning over the dignitaries at the funeral yesterday...........dont know why they cant cover today though maybe shes got an appointment at the dentist
frankly we don't need any presenters......show us paddock, going to post and race; with the course commentary. Huge savings, no pointless interviews and no bum steers from the presenters.
It's a free to air service catering for a minority audience. You and I may may not appreciate Claire and the rest of the mob, but it helps to build the programme's reach. We could always pay to get satellite if it's that important to us.
There's no "reach" to build. Unless of course the channel is being run by RFC?

Some people may not have seen statement earlier about Channel 4 Racing's commitment to showing best 90 days in the year, so to be clear:90 days per year is the biggest commitment to racing Channel 4 has ever shown, but unfortunately Craven meeting is among those to miss out. Inheriting Royal Ascot, Aintree, Epsom etc from BBC means we can't show everything live on Channel 4, but policy is reviewed every year.
