So few players playing these days.
Direct result IMO of the PC and skimming bot vastly reducing the ££££ circulation.
I dont think it will ever recover

A lot of people think that everyone on a level playing field would massively increase liquidity-I agree with you scooby it will never recover

No new blood/money and a lot of the regulars are struggling.
BF sucked the life out of the product and are "reaping" the rewards now ie no growth

bookies profits come from casino/fobts .. racing is irrelevent.

BF need a casino, but, mugs, dont understand its image/rebranding ..so, they cant
get the high profit business.

BF In Running Liquidity has been steadily falling for some time now (hardly surprising in view of their unbridled greed).
The Pre race Market totals should be written by Enid Blyton, imo.
There now is £3 by £4 available for any horses outside the first three in most races.

borrowed-if racing is irrelevant why do they always use bad results at Cheltenham etc or good Grand National results as a specific in the profit and loss forecasts?

in-play betting is increasing each year on other sports, racing has made a right mess of an opportunity to attract new ppl to the sport

I dont think the recession has much bearing on the BF eco system as I would guess that the majority of people who bash away at the keyboard are full timers.
Part timers wouldnt add much liquidity id guess

pc is a major disincentive for full time punters, nothing worse than winningf a few quid on your own merits and them burgling it off you.

The biggest problem other than PC is the fact that they aretoo busy trying to stop anyone winning rather than just simply attracting new liquidity.
PC also puts people off, even the ones who it will never effect.

Speed of pictures is irrelevant imho.

My oldman cut out the piece in the times about the potential buy out of BF
It says this Mr Koch sort who was in BF from the outset dislikes the way BF have moved away from the exchange mechanism and what they have done regarding focus on financial
Is it wishfull thinking that he might in someway feel like we all do regarding the odious PC tax?

There isnt a hope in hell that BF are going to take any less revenue via the PC or what other mechanism they can dream up.
Im sure the rumours regarding modifications to the system where just that-as soon as everyone accepted it it was game over
