LOL @ the Aussie claims that Frankel only used to be the same horse Excelebration all the time.......so that was only the 6th time then that Black Caviar beat Hay List, which according to some of them would have you believe the horse would be a superstar were it not for Black Caviar but somehow only managed to beat one home and has won less that half of its 16 starts with only 7 wins.

In the mean time the form of the Breeders' Cup Mile that they tried to knock Frankel over by association of Excelebration 4th to Wise Dan on unsuitable ground and track has seen Wise Dan next to on to win a Gr1 at Keeneland and by doing so notching up its 5th win on the trot, the 2nd that day in the Breeders' Cup Mile has gone on to win the Gr1 Dubai World Cup at Meydan and the 3rd hasn't raced again so the Frankel form continues to get boosted yet again whilst the 6f form of those behind Black Caviar at Ascot has on the whole been woeful.

And so Frankel didn't win at 7f, 8f and 10f no?

And he didn't win on going described as Soft, Good, Good to Soft and Good to Firm and didn't win going right handed, left handed and the straight mile at easy flat courses and stiff ones with uphill finishes like Ascot that was very nearly the undoing of Black Caviar too? And he didn't beat 65 different horses from countries including (ex)Australia, England, France, Germany, Ireland and Japan?

As for the many different tracks and going claims, Black Caviar ran at 7 different tracks in 25 runs so far on only 2 types of going which were either Good or Good to Soft, whereas Frankel ran at 6 different tracks from only 14 runs on 4 different going types. And remind me again how many times Black Caviar has raced outside of her own country, just the once wasn't it? Yet some of you go on as if she has been a globe trotter all of her racing career when apart from one time when she fell over the line against mainly handicappers and milers she's been beating many of the same horses from one country only, bar an odd NZ horse here and there, which was the very reason she had to come to the UK for a proper race.

You are right though that you can not compare her career to Frankel's because he would have run all over her at any trip, on any going, at any course and in any style of racing whether out speeding her coming from behind or breaking her heart from the front when leading all the way.
Report Joel April 15, 2013 4:53 AM BST
It's a little different though travelling from Australia...Frankel could have just jumped on a train to race in Europe, BC has to travel at least 8-10 hours on a plane to race somewhere else.

question, how many horses in the UK have run sub 10 sec (9.98 ) to the furlong or sustained 31 sec for 3 furlong or run 5 furlongs in 55 secs?

so you wanna tell me when frankel has done it or come close to doing it Laugh

and dont tell me ones a sprinter and wons a middle distance horse, the greatest 10 furlong horse in the would just run the last furlong faster than Black Caviar over 12 furlongs in a canter.

LOL.....from the bloke I've told a dozen times now the difference between your and you're and he's still getting it wrong! Laugh

I'm a kind hearted soul though so I will indulge you and ask what exactly was it that I have said that was supposed to be so stupid anyway?

So let's see if this even more stupid bloke can educate you a little and point out that 200 metres is short of a furlong and a pro-rata conversion turns Black Caviar's 9.98 seconds for 200 metres into 10.04 seconds for a furlong. Then there is the nature of the track to to take into account where Flemington is flat, whereas Ascot has a 1.3% incline for the length of its one mile straight course......and she soon found that out herself anyway!

At RA last year Frankel ran his fastest furlong unchallenged and isolated up front so no pacemaker or rival to help him along at that stage of the race and clocked 10.58s between the 3f and 2f poles having already run 5f up to that point and basically had the race sewn up so that he could coast home for the final 2f, whereas Black Caviar covered her fastest furlong at Ascot in 10.84s between the 4f and 5f poles having only run 3f prior to that in a 6f race getting a lead from rivals and better ground on the day compared to Frankel and that was with him drifting across the track too.

Plus of course I'm going to say you would expect a 5f-6f horse to run a fastest furlong in a quicker time than a miler (even though it didn't happen at Ascot anyway) but that 9.98s furlong was as I've already said on a flat track, in a 5f race and also on ground described as Good which I wouldn't be surprised if Good in Australia is faster and firmer that Good in the UK.

Oh and at that same RA meeting, Spirit Quartz, Medicean Man, Caledonia Lady and Tangerine Trees as well as Sole Power all ran a faster furlong in their race than Black Caviar did in hers.

so your telling me goodwood which is down hill to the finish is slower than a flat track? psst, there is a rise in the straight at flemington, but im shocked you didnt know this, pmsl !!!!

didnt frankel beat CC  in a walk, trot and  sprint home over a mile which actually turned into a 3 furlong race and your frankel got a 143 rating for it, all on a very good track.

ugh, you fruit loop do you understand that was Hay List's 2nd run back after recovering from a potentially career ending bout of colic? he had knee surgery.

no probably not, doesn't say it on the racingpost does it? LaughLaugh

cherry picking as usual, conveniently overlooking the fact that Hay List has ran 2nd to her 4 times, I think it is fair to say at his best he is the next best sprinter in the world, just been unlucky with injuries that's all

you just couldn't help yourself could you, the fact that she is unbeaten from 25 against sprinters in a nation that is renown for producing top liners, it burns you up in the inside doesn't it

First things first, for the 13th time now it's you're and not your.

Secondly trying to compare sectional times in a one mile 4 horse tactical race at Goodwood, a track that has bends, cambers and uphill sections, with a 14 runner straight 6f race at Ascot where there was pace from the off is embarrassing even by your standards but even putting all of that aside, when Frankel won his first Sussex Stakes, for the last 4f he averaged sub 11 seconds a furlong and from 4f out to 1f out he ran a time of 33.2 secs and he covered his final furlong in 10.7 which all things considered, offsetting all advantages and disadvantages to Black Caviar's Ascot run with her fastest furlong at 10.84 secs compares quite favourably in any sane person's eyes.

Oh and a few comments from Aussie website on Flemington:

....the mile on the flat track at Flemington is probably one of the easiest in Victoria.

Read more: http://www.theage.com.au/sport/horseracing/how-to-tackle-flemington-today-20100312-q49x.html#ixzz2QgtIcKdJ

....Black Caviar is still the only horse I know to have gone sub 10s for a furlong as she did one day on a flatter track back home in Australia

LOL....still desperately clutching on to that one about a year later because whilst making a totally valid general point, in the finer detail I said something was the case twice when it was only once. If you had a tiny 2 inch c0ck but tell people it was 3 inches it would still be tiny, so the finer detail is less important than the general point, HTH. Oh and I think the word you are searching for is drivel, dribble is probably what you do when silently mouthing the words whilst you follow on screen with your finger.

So anyway, which excuse for Hay List was it then the colic or the knees and is it just me or has anyone else noticed the Aussie's always manage to find an excuse for the horses poor runs? You make it sound as if the horse was off for a year and then came back and blew up through need of the run in a 2 miler, rather than actually already having had a minimum trip 5f race less that a month earlier which should have been enough to blow away any supposed cobwebs if that's even an issue in a point and go 5f sprint anyway.
Report SecondComing April 17, 2013 5:57 AM BST
ok wise one (no not really, you're a dumb **** in reality), explain to me why the 2nd best sprinter in the world, yes the world - nothing in England comes close, Ortensia proved that, anyway

explain to me why Hay List would take a 358 day break, missing all sort of top line racing if he wasn't seriously injured, you in your little fantasy land like to think excuses are being made but in reality, it's exactly why he didn't run to his best, they don't need to make excuses for him, he gains nothing from excuses being made, he is gelded ffs

I want you to keep believing your horses are good and your sprinters are the best but don't let the facts get in your way, it is no coincidence that our brand of racing is far more exciting to watch, I never do like seeing a peloton-like event going on in some washed up muddy old paddock, it doesn't entertain me at all

Hey einstein, Hay List didn't run for a year and he was in need for the run, imo they rushed him back as his track work wasn't anything like what it had been in the past and those who know best were saying it pre-race, not after the event

You want to know what dribble is? it's the white liquid running down your mrs chin after I have just unloaded like a water gun. LaughLaugh

Here's something I pulled off google just to shut your ponce ass up:

SYDNEY, April 9 AAP - The career of star sprinter Hay List is in the balance with the triple Group One winner battling a knee injury.

Hay List suffered the injury after undergoing emergency surgery last Friday for colic.

Scans on the injured knee will be sent overseas for analysis with trainer John McNair and the Davenport family which owns Hay List saying it was not necessarily the end of the six-year-old's career.

The hulking sprinter has a history of leg problems and injuries over the past few years but has overcome those to rise through the sprinting ranks in the eastern states after doing his early racing in Perth.

As well as winning three Group One races, Hay List has racked up four seconds at the top level behind Black Caviar.

He got his moment in the sun this autumn when he carried a hefty 58.5kg to win the Newmarket Handicap (1200m) at Flemington last month.

He had some problems with a foot abscess leading up to his most recent start when he was beaten by three-year-old Foxwedge in the William Reid Stakes.

Hay List has won 15 of his 23 starts and run second on six occasions, earning more than $2.5 million.
