had a good look through this race and one that really jumps out at me is the simon dow trained forceful appeal. i watched the replay of his last run when finishing sixth to atlantis crossing over seven furlongs here back in march, and turning for home i thought he looked to be travelling really well and having been sent off at a bsp of just over 20, he hit 4.6 ir. unfortunately when hayley asked the question, he only ran on at one pace. it could well be that he needed the run, having been away from the track for almost four months. so if he does come on for that, he has a very big chance here in my opinion. this evening he runs off a mark of 80, three pounds lower than his last win which came at lingfield back in march 2012, beating george guru by a length. my only slight concern would be that his best form does appear to have come at lingfield, though he did run very well here when fourth to cruiser last year, which came off a mark of 88. so at 8/1 i reckon he rates a decent bet.
the favourite is net whizz who has only had the three runs, and having won a maiden here in good style, it was very disappointing to see him finish fifth, beaten at odds on next time out. it could be that he was done by the slow early pace in that race, however what i found interesting was that two lengths behind in sixth was george guru, who was giving net whizz eight pounds. when forceful appeal beat george guru, he was giving away two pounds, and therefore their is every reason to suggest there should be little between them. at odds of 6/4 i rate net whizz a maximum lay, as net whizz also reminds me of jeremy noseda's intimidate, which won yesterday having improved for the run.
yours should run well here angeleyz, i think net whizz will leave its 3yo form well behind here, very impressive mdn win from a host of subsequent winners. net whizz was in the wrong place tactically in the hcp run last start, wide and too far off the pace when those at the front were kicking.
looked quite a big horse and was definitely still green last year, really expect this horse to be a cut above these now.
i'm not saying anything the market isn't and i'm certainly not backing at 6/4 but i am looking forward to seeing how this fav has done over the winter!
gl with your pic, it certainly should run a good race.

ty stridingedge. i just think 6/4 is way too short on what he has achieved so far. you could be right and he may well have improved from three to four, but i always like to take on potential with something that has already achieved something. should certainly be an interesting race though, with a couple of other promising types such as rockalong and sword in hand in opposition. best of luck to you if you do have a bet.

Down into a class 4 handicap, back over a mile and now 3lb lower than its last win. Travelled very well LTO off a layoff before fading in the final furlong. Draw not brilliant and all three wins at Lingfield, but still looks a solid option at around 4/1.

Have to think that the 3 times C/D winner Flamborough Breeze will again go close after getting collared late on over 10fs lto, that winner has followed up since from 4lbs higher, much improved this season, hope to see him pounce late on.
