Log on to Betfair forum.....Scan for any of the following:- 'this will win'; 'full bank'; strings of '~~~~' in the thread title; the word 'Money' in the username; a user who can't spell their own name - fananatics and the like.

Read the ante-post write up about the chances of Silver Birch in the RFO a few years back... mulling over whether to back it or not for a few days when during some high winds the following weekend the tree at the back of my parents garden came down.

Thought the only tree they had there was a silver birch so had to back said horse accordingly and the rest is history.

Well nearly... a visit to my parents place and a wander up the back garden I found the birch still standing... never did find out what sort of tree came down...

A punter I know always backed number 7 in Handicaps unless it was favourite, when he backed number 9. He then had forecasts and tricasts with 11 and 13 if enough runners. Swore blind it was a 'system' that worked!
