You seem to have discounted the winner.

the cheltenham race certainly has a solid look about it.
would give the mare (Utopie des bordes) that finished 5th in the race a solid chance in the Mersey novices. Beat Aim to Prosper a hell of a lot further than Up and Go did at Ascot (admittedly eased). |

I'm on him as think conditions will be perfect, I do fear Solwhit though. I thought CH was miles past his best so either I'm wrong or the 3 mile divison is very weak and ready for a novice to come and show them how it's done!

agree Ibrahima although have backed Celestial Halo as well...dutched

Solwhit is MILES clear on my trends!
Not a 100% horse like At Fishers Cross was but still well clear. |

By:
solwhit "in fine fettle" atm do the exacta imo

which one FB ?

He must be on about Grand Crus I think,I suppose he gets better ground than he's had all year.
|
|
By:
No, he is not that stupid. More like Bears Affair or Attaglance who have decent ew chances.

i'd be very afraid of solwhit actually finishing this race on this ground.....gonna have a few quid on a place lay just in case
|

Bears Affair got no chance imo. They were weak handicaps he won and was well behind Oscar Dara last time.
|
|
By:
I would never judge a horse when its beaten by a stablemate, especially when he is holding up the handicap.
Anyway it would be much easier if FB reappeared. |

AG may be young and improving but he's got to have improved out of sight in the last 3 weeks, I wouldn't back it at double the odds, I would be amazed if it places
|

I've backed Bears Affair. Plenty to find on the book but he's unexposed, goes well fresh and on the track. Untried over the trip but by Presenting out of a dual 3m chase winner he's bred to relish it.

Bear's Affair e/w for me too. Has won at the track and like FB says, is unexposed and open to lots of improvement. Given that Ocsara Dara was in receipt of nearly a stone when defeating him at Kempton, I wouldn't have thought he'll have much of a problem reversing the placings; especially with Gerraghty having chosen this one.
