If someones managed to get a fortune on seabass going off fav for the race at say 3/1ish then it could be quite a clever move. However they would need to have got a fair bit to make the risk worth it.

Paul22 that is exactly what happened in the English greyhound derby final last year.
The 1 dog Farloe Ironman was backed before the off from around 9/2 to 6/4 Fav on course when it was freely available at 4/1 on here or bigger at the off. They bet it to be favourite and had the ride on that it could win as well.

I was watching the market in disbelief that night as were the Sky commentators, and everyone knew what was happening.

It finished second returned 6/4Fav.

I remember Gary Wiltshire looking around wondering wtf was going on, John Henwood was in the Post next day saying he took, 22,500/5000, and God knows what else at all rates down.. We all knew it was a load of cobblers, I said at the time that the great Tony Morris would be spinning in his grave at the stroke.

Aye, i couldn't believe when they rang me to tell me he was 6/4 fav downstairs, had my phone out on here looking at the prices and it was clear something wasn't right
