Im a vegetarian, do a lot of work with abandoned animals and I'll be honest Im no fan of the National but I love the sport of Horse Racing.
Through some of my beliefs I come across the more extreme animal right groups and then the animal "lovers" who make a lot of noise (they usually eat meat and wouldnt even dare go into a field where a dying animal is )  they are good at getting their opinion out there!

I have contact with a number of organizations and Horse Racing in the UK would really want to start fighting back because the momentum behind groups like Animal Aid is gathering serious strength.
Big Mac seems to be the voice of Racing in these debates if anything that lad is doing damage.

Time to wake up and smell the coffee or you will be all watching cartoon racing on Portman Park in the future :-/

well done for being a vegetarian jmc27

To be honest, one cannot engage in any sort of sensible conversation with groups like Animal Aid..
they are fanatics

best thing is ignore them imo, the RSPCA are more of a threat
but I was glad to see the BHA defending the National this year

I would be far from surprised if the increasingly publicity starved McCririck and his equally calculating Mrs came out against the National fences, if they thought that would get them a little longer in the media spotlight...

They should concentrate on animal cruelty instead of horses that live in luxury.

The BHA needs to publicise the number of healthy animals exterminated by the RSPCA every year.
They would rather waste money on political campaigning that caring for animals.
Their head man is a loony ex Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate which speaks volumes about the arrogant ****.
Animal Aid nutters exist to be ridiculed.
