Nicky Henderson has not been champion trainer since the mid 1980's. In those days, he had the odd good horse - See You Then, Remittance Man etc. Basically, a good horse every few years. All of a sudden, he has a stable full of champions. Virtually every big race you could name over jumps seems to be ay his mercy next season. What is different now ? Why the sudden improvement after nearly 30 years ?
