SO ! Bombed out of the " spring double " WHAT WINS THE NATIONAL THEN ?

On His Own, I backed it last year and will do so again.

What will win the National?

The horse thats wise and old enough to fly its many walls of birch

that will still be standing,

with the jockey thats bold enough to wait and measure every

furlong, fence and Landing.

It will be the horse that digs deep and finds reserves of plenty

when the finish seems too far and the crowds roar but the legs are tired and empty.

Man and beast as one machine to beat the odds and find the punters dream

of winning the national of races that is grand and of jumping skills

and guts required it should surely be called  the supreme.
