The Stewards enquired into why HUNT BALL (IRE), ridden by Nick Scholfield, trained by Keiran Burke, and owned by Mr Anthony Knott, had run in this race with unauthorised sponsorship letters on its hindquarters. They interviewed the connections and referred the matter to the British Horseracing Authority.
