Due to the problems that occurred on Saturday and the unplanned site outage I’d just like to confirm that you will not be charged commission on bets placed from now for all Tuesday races at the Cheltenham Festival . This will not apply to those in the Antepost markets but will include in-running bets.

This will be implemented as follows:

For the Champion Hurdle there will be no commission charged
For the other six races we will charge the commission but make a full rebate of your commission

You will benefit from both the 0% rate on The Champion Hurdle and the rebate from the other six races. The rebates will not feature when calculating any future Premium Charge Payments.

Betfair Racing ‏@BetfairRacing

If you've been winning on the Exchange at #CheltFest today, keep an eye on your balance at 7pm tonight!

presume that refers to refund of commission

As a layer I have been refunded commission on 4 of the 5 races I participated in on here. Unfortunately in the other I laid a 28-1 winner. Surely I should be refunded my implied commission ?        Angry

They shd have refunded commission for the AP markets too, imo.

It smacks of catering to one kind of customer(impulsive bettors) over another.

Well I have had £150 refunded in commission from Saturdays football and todays racing.

(thinly disguised boast that I have fluked a few winners)

As someone who has a gentle pop at everyone I cannot do anything but praise Betfair...

Surely betting just before the off is the opposite of being impulsive. I waited longer than the AP boys to back my horses todayCrazy. I wanted to know the going, to see if my horses where relaxed going down and to see if they were drifting in the markets or being backed..not impulsive in the slightest. Unlike the AP boys who can`t even wait until the same year of the race.Wink
