Clare thinks they will lose a million?
At £20 per head, that's 50,000 phone or online customers?
Have they really got that many who are going to bother?

How much does the OP expected to be laid at EVS on a 1/4 shot?? Unlimited so first few in have a few grand each so they have to cut it before 90% of people get on? Of all the many things to have a go at a bookie about this offer seems a very strange one to choose.
Report irish_guy_13 March 7, 2013 1:13 AM GMT
exactly rock monkey , it sounds too good because it is free money really, the other horses selected by bookmakers might lose eg nf and simonsig.

But this offer has only one agenda, they are happy to give away the 20 quid , they are just hoping for a high percentage of new accounts.
Report dukeofpuke March 7, 2013 1:14 AM GMT
if fact if you look at the sums involved its very near to the lads offer on simonsig different prices different max different terms but if you are an arber its about the same risk either way

Report Duvauchelle March 7, 2013 8:44 AM GMT
Well dont do it online unless you have money in account as their website is not accepting deposits surprise surprise.
Report OVERSEAS March 7, 2013 8:46 AM GMT
thought something could go wrong on the IT side so deposited last night and will cover my lunch today by seeing if they will "lay" a bet...99% of all that the big firms do is rancid but you would be hard pushed to be critical of this...

Report thesportinglife March 7, 2013 10:40 AM GMT
The point some punters seem to be missing is that Corals are making out that they are being generous and brave when the reality is it`s nothing more than a cheap publisaty stunt to get their name in the Racing Post.

Will they be laying any horse to lose £10k just as they didn't last year?  Can't remember the horse but on day one I asked for 1k on a 10/1 shot for a laugh and got offered about £6 Laugh

I presume new accounts aren't able to do any other offers one get's when opening an account - i've not bothered looking but I presume Corals do a 'match your first bet' or something like that and anybody taking part in this and opening a new account can't do that? Clever way to get new customers in the week before Cheltenham!

I think CORALS have come out of this  badly saying £20 Max then everyone is limited to £10. Now everyone thinks Corals is more Mickey Mouse than ever before which i did not not think was possible.
Report tilted March 8, 2013 11:23 AM GMT
It is basically a £20 free bet dressed up in a different way.
I can't see any difference in Betfair saying they will give you £20 back if your first bet with them is a loser and Coral giving everyone who wants it £20 credit in their account.
You would be a fool not to take the offer up, but then you must be a fool to put up the original post.
People who look a gift horse in the horse are t**ts.
