RUK online now same speed as turf tv ?

SiS pictures speeding up too !!

i have just tested RUK online  and the RUK tv channel   and the online ruk in bout 1 second ahead(same as turf tv)   
with betfair live vid same as sis.  looks like the end of exchange shops  ??????

how long has it been like this aspy ?
i wonder if it will stay this way

I remember a couple of years ago when I joined, and the picture quality was spot on. It then deteriorated badly, and their customer service people could never explain why.

i got told this about ruk only last night and tested today... but its defo 1 sec in front and picture is of high quality.  how long it last,s  ... who knows ?    but paying 8k a yr each for sis and turf not great value at the mo thats for sure !!!

How do you refresh it to get it up to speed. 5 seconds slower here ?

there is two versions of ruk online.... one is free for tv subscribers,it runs miles behind the tv version.The other is the £20 a month subscription which is ahead of ruk tv.

Must vary from area to area.I bought the online package last week but its never been in front of the RUK tv version-(its a fraction behind).

If you're talking about on-line, could your broadband supplier not be the difference in speed of pictures ?

Just purchased it as well, same as Kev. Keep refreshing and best have had it is the same as TV,usually a fraction behind.

Hopefully faster next race or that is a 15 quid donation to Rishi's wages.

im at wetherby and ruk online 1 sec behind tv ruk....some say the graphics card makes a difference..

Online varying between level and a second in front of Ruk on tv here.

it does mr hunt you need a reasonable graphics card in we tested it at haydock sat and i can confirm there was nowt in it noticeable to the eye

just tested ruk online again...1.7 behind live..

It will depend where you are sat and who is your ISP. From RUK it won't be routed the same way to everybody, some paths will have more stages in them and one slightly slow one could make the difference.

Open a command prompt window and type

turf not ruk in fact if i had a gun pointed at my head i'd play off the online pics well thar ya go

People sat in different parts of the country with different ISPs is like everyone thinking it's raining in the same place at the same time

I got 18 hops from tracert. 8 of them had virginmedia.net in the name.

10 here all adding up to 292 ms

ping took 36ms

Mine is 18 hops and the slowest hop is 65ms.

When it's finished, if you want to do another just press the up arrow key and press enter, to save typing the address again.

I am an engineer, though I know a chap on here who isn't. You know who you are....

Each hop is in milliseconds. The less hops you have and the faster your slowest hop, then the faster your connection to the destination site. What you don't want is one hop or more that takes ages and slows you down.

online ruk was same speed as turf tv.... and about 1 sec infront of ruk tv (sky ty)   i from north east uk

FWIW I purchased it yesterday and could barely get it ahead of ruk sky. In the odd time it might have been ahead it was under half a second and possibly not worth the hassle of constant refreshes to get a smidgeon ahead and have a worse picture. That said the picture quality is decent.

from thornaby... and use 50 meg line...   the picture speed same as turf like i said.  picture can jump a little but would rather pay £150 per annum than the 8k or so per annum for turf tv   will keep checking over the coming weeks and update !

Its about half a second quicker than RUK here after 14 hops, it never falls behind RUK but the picture is a little jerky.
Im using it for the sound atm but wont continue with it after month is up.

I know what you mean about the jerkiness putting you off rcing.
although its not falling behind, the slight pauses in the picture isnt ideal

if sound is helpful to you go for it . i would pay the £15 a month for a 0.5 quicker pics , but the jerkyness is more off putting than the advantage gained . that's just for me . others may might be able to put up with it though .

Despite claims on here,Turf TV is still ahead of RUK Online.
RUK is 0.5 seconds ahead of RUK TV (depending on your BB speed).

If RUK online is the 0.5 seconds ahead of RUK TV then it is level with Turf TV
