Leicester today the  following prices were available to good money on course compared to the beloved machine prices.
2-00 franklin roosevelt 2/1 when 2.94, lough coi 3.75 when 3.7
2.30 module 1/4 when 1.25 , achimota 9/2 when 5.4
3-00 reginaldinho 10/3 when 4.1
3-30 buddy bolero 1/1 when 1.96
4-00 saffron de cotte 9/4 when 3.1, the musical guy 9/4 when 3.15
430 arthurs pass 7/4 when 2.66

Strange how threads only seem to highlight the occasional sp return when firms have played in a race and nothing is mentioned when consistently commission free value is to be found on a daily basis at the delights of a british racecourse. Come racing

Presume sparrow you're referring to the 230 race. Well 1 book had the following show 1/4, 9/2, 25/1, 66/1, 250/1 which is actually slightly under 104%.

diplomat, I was not referring to any specific race as you are giving the impression that you can beat the exchanges on all races.
I have every respect for the majority of on course bookmakers, but you know you can't work to those percentages on every race.

he is talking about laying favourites , sparrow , not every horse in a race

and yes , at this time of year on NH racing it is every race

I understand that adge, but some posters are trying to give the impression that exchange prices can always be beat on course.

Sparrow, Unfortunately some oncourse books do not understand percentages and yes most races most days u can beat the exchanges.

It must be very difficult for you these days, as you will not get many of the other runners in the book.

Presumably, no even obviously prices propped up by track side operators hedging them on exchanges which force them slightly down but at the same time not capable of offering anything interesting of value at above the 5.0 mark.

By all means go racing but enjoy it for what it is and not by virtue of a resident monopoly of sited bookmakers.
