Hi, Did anyone else notice that c4 panel of experts failed to even mention the cape in expert analysis of runners in argento chase!!. the cape was about 8/1 at time! The field was not very large and between 3 off them they failed to pick up on a fancied runner.
but i find all racing coverage is done at a breakneck speed. They will show a 3 second clip of each horse and if it is trained by a top trained or is a hot fav it will get a longer clip.
Their should be time to go over every runner, showing their last runs (just the finish), record on the ground, course & trip. Maybe with some history to the race.
but they treat every race like its a dog race at swindon.
I was out working yesterday so i didnt see c4.but i find all racing coverage is done at a breakneck speed. They will show a 3 second clip of each horse and if it is trained by a top trained or is a hot fav it will get a longer clip.Their should be ti
I must I didn't give CT a second look when weighing up the race. Figured that he wanted much better ground and wouldn't be much of a danger. Would have probably wanted 18's at least! Shows how much I know!

CT loves it soft, plus he was in the form of his life. To win 2 top class handicaps takes some doing (off 150 aintree)
Best form he has show since his debut at the festival as a novice, but he did beat a lot of horses who had question marks against them.

Ibrahima Sonko I totally agree about racing coverage. Why they can't show recent form from the runners is beyond me. Maybe throw in a bit of history or breeding, but no it's all matey banter and pointless interviews.

It's a horse that's somehow passed me by over the years - never given it a second look. A blind spot I think.
Needless to say I'll be all-in come March!

I mean, why focus solely on Katenko in a close up all the way up the run in, meaning we never saw his finish relative to the others
also did a camera angle switch on the run in of the Argento which made it look like Imperial was gonna stay in front
reckon the director knows nothing about racing
twunts
terrible camera angles tooI mean, why focus solely on Katenko in a close up all the way up the run in, meaning we never saw his finish relative to the othersalso did a camera angle switch on the run in of the Argento which made it look like Imperial
I wouldnt worry glossy, im a big fan of CT and have probably lost over 2k backing him up until his run at aintree and yesterday. Probably a couple of hundred quid down during my following.
So if he wins the gold cup then the losses will feel easier.

As regards blind spots, I have a poor way of looking at SOME races as to how I would like them to result. Thought that KATENKO would receive a weight rise for winning, decided that 147 was a decent mark for Grand National, he wins so far that he will be near 160 on re-assessment, VENETIA remarks about that in some journalistic quotes and a very unusual quote of "an attractive option" as regards the GOLD CUP.

dave yates put up cape tribulation, and look at the stick he gets on hear. mostly justified i must add.
between them all(pundits etc)they must have selected every horse in that race,so someone was going to be right.

Mr Eboue the close up on Katenko started at the second last we should have seen the other horses including the fall. In fact why can't they show the full races at the start of the programme for those without RUK?

bold sir brian fell at the last and looked like he was dead hence the close up on katenko.
Agreed. It did look a bit odd having such a close-up on Katenko, but that BSB fall was absolutely horrible.
