Interesting!
I know it is different from saying you would be prepared to lay him at 4-11, but still strange. Confused

Any winner is a value bet. I hesitate to criticise anybody but he is poor in my opinion.

4/11 would have been exceptional value, you were basically backing a clear round from a safe jumper.

those are all his views feltair, feel free to criticise awayHappy

As 4/11 was never available it seems pointless to cricise.
If it had been,he would have looked ridiculous.
Turning down a 1/5 is hardly bad judgement (after all,he did not recommend a Lay,did he).

I can understand him not wanting to back Sprinter Sacre but to put up Sanctuaire who couldn`t be found at Sandown and the trainer clearly thought he had little or no chance seemed silly from a "form expert". He then went on to put up Grand Crus over 3m 2f in desperate ground in a field where several would ensure a good gallop( Midnight Chase and Hey Big Spender to name but two). The question is which of the two selections was worse from a form standpoint.

I didnt do it but 4/11 was a pretty fair price for winter gamers , unless you are yifter and the horse hasnt impressed you so far
Report Diamond_Joe_Quimby January 27, 2013 6:50 PM GMT
Horse should have been 1/10 min imho. Trying to find value yesterday was pathetic. Blackpool donkey had as much chance of beating him as that motley crew of dodgepots
