Let the Editor put his reputation and that of his publication on the line by challenging the reprobates, morons and generally intellectually challenged that inhabit the BF Forum (his opinion btw) to a straightforward tipping competition.Perhaps 3 or 4 man (women) teams.
No stake unless BF and RP would like to put something up for a worthy cause but REPUTATION being the main prize?
If the RP are as good as they sell themselves why would they duck the challenge to prove they are superior to the rabble on here?
We all know they read, contribute and monitor the forum so there really is no excuse for them,it could be an annual event culminating in a trophy presentation at say the Cheltenham Festival or the Kempton Boxing Day meeting............do they (he) have the guts?
I'll take on Pullein although I may tip a few at odds against and at a different "Bookmaker" than nobet£3.65.....
There will also be no fallow months when despite there being thousands of matches worldwide "it would seem that all the prices are correct"...(his words not mine)

If I am to be matched with him I will get three tips a week and will have to break even ...
I will also be able to pluck mythical prices advertised by mythical bookmakers that no-one else can access

A few have been on and yet disappeared when push came to the "shove"?
Cant sustain a debate, cant substantiate claims................is this NEW BOY any good?
Any one of you 5 that buy the RP later...........let us SNOW.

Someone who posted as 'Forest Of Dean' ran one on here about 8 or 9 years ago, where forumites had to put up their selections before 7pm the previous evening, for one meeting each day, and recorded results against RP (and other newspaper) tipsters. It ran for a month, and the top 3 were all from the Betfair forum. Only a month, but the crayon-wielders came out on top.

No Kudos just posting tips imo,we need named challengers from them or at least a couple of Celebs to take on the Forum.
E.G Yifter Artie Barry Dennis
Just to kick off with.............tbh nothing much against them personally, except Arties sudden loss of memory in Court with Key Ron,Yifters attack on Watchit and Barries admission of ripping off kids going racing.
All three seem to be cold shouldering the Forum for some reason?
The RP could supply one or 10 who claim big things and just to make it interesting we could spice it up with a few "pros" like TSD and Brimardon.
Will it ever happen? I would be happy if only half took part and at least had a go.As it stands not sure I would want any of them in my Platoon.................even the DIRTY DOZEN redeemed themselves.
Any takers?

I can remember the first edition of the racing post coming through the letterbox and it was a refreshing change to the sporting life at the time that dominated the bookies walls, back then the paper was actually informative and worth reading, sadly now it has turned into the sporting life with dull write ups, masses of bookmaker adds, dire tipsters and funnily enough its the Sporting life that has better tipsters.
Now I wonder how things have got reversed

Bf_f the Racing Post was the best thing to happen for punters in at least four generations from day one it was the way forward. They made more than a few mistakes along the way but nearly always managed to cover the cracks.
Without getting personal and recognising changing times the departure of the likes of Paul Haigh (who would never have sold his bum to high street bookies at the time)Brough Scott,Big Mac and a few notable others(Fat Al et al),the death knell was sounded on the departure of Sir Clement.
He saved them for longer than they deserved, shame for them that he went to Dig Up St Edmunds just when the flock was returning.
Steve Dennis is a very decent chap and not a bad writer to boot, the rest I would not employ to tap Brimardons phone in the hope of getting a winner,Kevin Pulls Them excepted,he loves a fence to sit on.
