What did he do to merit that comment aj?
I've met the fella on a few occasions, a decent guy in my opinion. But then I didn't expect anything from him and wouldn't have taken any notice had he have said anything. |

Don't mind gambling owners/yards but when short price favourites drift like a leg has fallen off 2 mins before the off, it's a bit unsavoury in my opinion.
Spoke to Pipe once, seemed like a decent enough chap, but told me 'Frosted Grape' was a mortgage job. It lost. |

It was an honest question, I've only just logged on.
Did he say "mortgage job", that would have had me running for the hills! |

It has to be said as a trainer of racehorses he has big failings.
Given the money the likes of Prof Tindall and Bryan Drew can spend he massively underperformed and he's clearly not been listening to his dad in his formative years. He's the first trainer that I'll put a line through when going through a card, couldn't back one of his with stolen money. |

D'Jango
Left David Pipe after heavy defeat in low-grade handicap hurdle in October; tough task 2nd 66/1, looked like a completely different horse. |

Yeah, Pipe only got three wins and five seconds out of the horse in the 21 months he had it.
(I don't think I've ever seen connections as ecstatic after finishing second as D'Jango's were at Taunton today. They just couldn't stop cuddling and kissing the animal afterwards.) |

during which time he ran it 32 times. and we're not talking chaplins club here, we're talking 3 mile to 4 mile chases maybe looked like a different horse today as it was only it's 2nd race since August .... |

I can't see any Pipe favs in the last two weeks, so what WAS this about? I met him several times. Lovely chap. Gave me a let's say encoded message that his horse wouldn't like the ground once, which I sadly ignored (didn't have a bet). It finished last. So seemed reliable to me. I met his parents too. They were fabulous. MArtin showed me a few mares out in the field and asked me to guees what one was the two time Festival winner. I had no idea of course and easily the ugliest of the beasts was of course the one. Gaspara. A lesson in looks.

Maybe give him another chance , could have got out of bed the wrong side and anyway a persons personality can easily change in 11 years
